    £160

Ditch the dongle in November. Check with networks if you can downgrade tariffs, only allowed on some networks and only by about £5 a month.

Sell the phone to pay for line rental, get a cheap £10 phone replacement and use with contract sim.

No, you cannot void the contract because your personal circumstances have changed.
Death or bankruptcy are the only valid exits routes.
How do you manage to clock up £160 even on 4 devices-that's an average £40 per contract!

This makes no difference, but 20+40+40+35:eek:=135, not 160
I hope that your husband made a really good savings while having a really good job, and it will not be a problem to keep paying untill April.

    That is only £135.

That aside, if you can not downgrade, see if the handsets are worth anything and sell them to pay off some of the remaining line rental.

I bought my son a phone on PAYG for his birthday. He is responsible for topping it up out of his pocket money and now wages.
