FREE LISTING WEEKEND on eBay

  • Does this count if I start putting things on EBay now but schedule them to start on Sunday i.e. if I pay the 0.06p fee for a scheduled start and get it to start this Sunday (18th) will the insertion fee still be free?

  • Hi, can anyone tell me why when I relist several items at the same time it shows a charge (so I daren't click on 'confirm') but when I do each one individually it shows £0.00 insertion fee.

What the hell am I doing wrong? All the items are over £1.00 starting price

It has been suggested on the community boards that ebay now require singly uploaded items as uploading in bulk does not comply with the requirements to use the 'sell your item' clause.

  • Hi again,

Actually I just took a chance and relisted a couple of items. All the way through it said it would charge. But after I clicked on 'confirm and submit' it eventually showed a £0.00 insertion fee. I've done it will all my stuff and it eventually shows £0.00 too. I've also checked my account and nothing has shown up as a charge. Just hope it stays that way.

Not good for me I have 128 items to list.
Rather than lose the opportunity, why not just list the first 100? With any luck, 28 or more will sell and next time round you can relist the unsold ones and have enough free listings over to list the remaining 28.

I know that as soon as we have just had a free listing weekend we tend to get people asking 'when is the next one as there hasn't been any for ages' and I've had a thought and would welcome comments as to whether it is a daft one or not.

It is possible to bookmark a thread so even if you don't log in you will get an email to your main email inbox saying that a post has been added to the thread. So, how about a thread entitled 'free listing on ebay' that non regulars can bookmark, then when there is a free listing day we can add the link to the FLW- and point out any new terms and conditions to the post. That would basically mean that anyone not logged in on mSE would still be notified?

Or is this a silly idea?

  • Seeing as the FLW are becoming fairly frequent I think its a good idea. :) xx
