Hi,
Apols if this sounds daft -
Our broadband is with Fast (Broadband Max). Based on the recommendation from Fast, I am thinking of purchasing Netgear DG834GUK from PCWorld.
The question that I have is - when I looked at PC World catalogue I saw that they have both 54 MBPS (Web £64.45) as well as 108 MBPS (Web £89.99).
Would there be any real advantage if I go with 108 MBPS one?
Thanks,

Assuming your b/b download speed is 8Mb/s then the 54 Mb/s will easily cope and upgrading wouldn't necessarliy speed up surfing.
However, it would improve file transfer speed if you've more than one computer and you use shared drives/printers etc.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
if the 108mbps is like the one below, you will also get better coverage in your place.i had a dead spot upstairs and this works great.it has 6 antenas all inside it and uses MIMO0

this was about £55 from amazon and i'm sure i read some reviews saying the 54 mbp/s is better/more reliable.0

i still use both the routers, 108mbps at my place and fitted my old one at my my gf's place.definetly an improvement for me.i bought it 2 months ago from argos for GBP49.99 with a free rangemax usb adapter:D0

wow Ivan,
that sounds quite a good deal
the one that i am after in argos retails at 79.99 (it comes with free adapter). In PC World, just the router costs 64.45.0 -
hi, roadside thats the 79.99 one,but i don't think it will be available soon at 49.99,just a special offer end of Nov.0
