Use for large garden/land?

In the past I had a house with some land I wasn't using. I was paid some money by someone who cut it to make hay which was no trouble as long as there is access for a tractor.
A word of caution about letting people put sheep on it. There are stories of part time farmers who leave sheep on odd pockets of land and then neglect them. The land owner who cannot see animals suffering ends up trying to look after them and chase the owner if animals become ill or injured.0 -
There's a fair demand for people to park their mobile homes on land....0

An orchard (plant damsons, victoria plums etc) and make jam.
You'll need a huge jam pot though!0 -
I've always fancied an orchard, but that might just be me0

Have you though about solar panels on the land. You will then get free electricity and a tax free, index linked income from the governments Feed in Tarrif for 25 years.0

Thanks, another great idea -will look into planning implications for that kind of use
Should add would give something like that a lot of thought as don't want to move somewhere and immediately wind neighbours up!0 -

Actually I hadn't, but another good idea -I had it in my head they could only go on the roof, but guess they can go anywhere,thanks0 -
Does the grazing land have access to a water source? If you plan on renting it out for livestock owners they will need it, and I think you can fit meters so they can be billed for how much water they use.
Personally I love the idea of the meadow, that is something I have always wanted to do- a wilflife pond with plenty of wild flowers around it, but I'm not sure how you could get that to generate income.0
