I did wonder about that, because i'm sure i have noticed it before,when filling in form on the same magazine.

As the other posters said earlier it is just different fonts. It is possible to specify which font will be used in a web form but even the defaults are usually sans serif types. For stuff being printed (so in word processor programs) it is usual to default to a serif font.0
