You might have to call and ask on this one, not enough time has passed for anyone to know yet0

I'd be interested to see the answer. Also wondering if when cards expire if they'll be reissued as electrons or visa debits?
ETA: Still seems available: http://www.halifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/other-bank-accounts/easycash/
It's listed under 'Banks Accounts' then 'Other Bank Accounts' on the halifax website, instead of a current account.0 -
The Halifax are still opening them, but BoS have changed the name of their basic bank account to a Cash Account and it now comes with a Visa Debit card. I beleive BoS customers can change to the new account on request.0

I called yesterday to ask If there will be restrictions on ATM use looking at the new cashaccount terms but I was advised existing easycash accounts would remain on the same T&Cs including card so will still get visa electron (for now anyway)0

The picture of my electron card is the same, but the picture of my visa debit on my reward current acc. is just blank, so they may change.
If you found they have upgraded you, then you should be able to log into the halfax site with your same log in and open one on there.0 -

That is one thing to bear in mind if anyone is thinking or able to change to the Visa Debit Card... You will only be able to withdraw cash from a Bank of Scotland ATM!!0 -
Youll get a visa debit card according to there welcome pack.

I would recomend you ask for a replacement card and see what your sent.
However if you do that bare in mind youll only be able to use HBOS and Halifax ATMsIm an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

and I am a BOS customer and I have been advised that the card will be visa Electron as the account is an easycash account not a cashcard account - Visa are only issued on new accounts0
