That probably explains why all my local Tesco have withdrawn the self service facility at the pumps.0 -
Will they be able to track what mobile phone number the top-ups went to? I would guess its an unregistered number if its being used fraudulently.0

Sorry for appearing dense .... but how can you buy credit for a mobile if you don't supply the number? That's the basic key, surely, for allocating the credit to where its going to be used?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Perhaps i worded it wrong. I meant the number not registered to anyone. I haven't used PAYG for years so don't know if things have been tightened up but you could just but a payg mobile, top it up and use it. The network wouldn't know who was using it. It wouldn't be registered to a particular person. This is how criminals, terrorists etc contact each other. They aren't going to use a phone registered in their own name.0 -
Thanks - been a long day. Should have appreciated that's what was intended. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

Hey thanks for all your replys. I've just thought of something else.
Ive obvioulsy had to have my card stopped. Today I was planning to take back I dress I had bought. I paid for it on my old card. Will I still be able to get a refund?0 -
Yeah that shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't have thought0

I just rang the customer service of the store I went to and she said that I need my new card. She was quite rude actually - saying its not the stores fault that my bank account was hijacked. So annoying as I need all the money I can get untill I get my money back.
