Had two tickets from Parking Eye which I have ignored after reading these posts. Today I have recieved a Final Notice telling me if I ignore this one, they will instruct a debt collection agency to secure immediate payment, plus threatening court action and baliffs. Its all very heavy. Is keep ignoring the advice?

Please see my answer to your other post. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Yes. The debt collector is often Mavis on the next desk. They almost never risk court as they usually get trounced whenever they risk it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

This is a scam of impersonation of officialdom
No they will not take you to court.
You are near the end, only 3 more silly letters to go.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
"they will instruct a debt collection agency to secure immediate payment"
That would be a clever trick, wonder how that one works!0 -
ParkingEye cave in far too easily. I miss their silly little threatening letters, they never fail to make me laugh. Needless to say, despite all the bluster, they have never taken me to court.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Here we go again!
I contend that you have had but ONE ticket from these monkeys, unless something has changed. I am a ParkingSpy regular and it hasn't dawned on them yet that the best way to get money for themselves out of me is by saving on their letters. I haven't paid them since I've known them and they keep on sending these letters every time my car is picked up by their cameras. It's a faceless organisation and everything is automated and the letter you received from - 99.9999999% chance "John Mitchell" of the so-called "Legal Department" (scary!!!) - is a certified template, I can tell by the "they will instruct a debt collection agency to secure immediate payment" shaggy dog story.
Generally they send out the first letter, then the second final letter purporting to be the "third" and all within the initial 28 days you will have had to pay them.
Makes me yawn, like a film you've been made to watch a thousand times!!!!;)0 -
I wonder what dodgy no-collect no-fee "debt" collectors they will use next.0

No, sorry no name on the botton of the Final Notice. It is signed though by someone. The signature looks like it reads Wally.0

Sounds about right! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just joined this forum because I'm having problems with Parking Eye. Have read a lot of posts now and the consensus seems to be 'ignore and don't pay'. My PCN was for parking in a pub car park, where I was a customer, and failing to give my reg to the bar staff. I've been back and asked the bar staff to sort it BUT I also emailed Parking Eye to 'appeal'. Was this a mistake? I'm prepared now to ignore any more letters (assuming the bar staff don't sort it out for me) but have I made things harder for myself by acknowledging the PCN and letter?0
