Anyone know what b&q do about returns when something is on a buy 4 pay for 3 offer, for instance if you buy 16 packs of tiles and only pay for 12, if you have 2 packs spare will you get a full refund for them?
Also what if I cannot find the receipt will I get a credit note?
Thanks

I think they only refund with receipt nowadays.0

You don't need a receipt, you need proof of purchase. A credit card or bank statement will suffice. If you paid cash and have no receipt, you probably won't get a return. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I'm sure they are wise to that trick and you will get a reduced amount to relect the free ones.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Can't think of anywhere that will refund/replace without some proof of purchase - B & Q will only refund unwanted stuff if you take it back within 45 days now as well. Regardless of whether you have the receipt or not.0

Hi Adonis
i purchased floor tiles recently on promotion 4 for 3 at B & Q. I bought 6 packs but only used 5, so took 1 back to B & Q with receipt and within the 45 day period, with my 17 yr son in tow. I ended up demanding to speak to a manager (much to my son's embarassment, lol) because when my receipt was scanned, it was not bringing up the full price of £15.99 but £13.32 or there about. The dept manager that I spoke to said that this is their policy but as I pointed out to him, there are no signs stating that you only get a proportion of the price refunded and had this been made clear either by signage or by a cashier at the time i purchased, then I would have split my purchase and paid for 4 boxes of tiles on one receipt and two on another. In the end, as they couldnt do refund using my receipt, they gave me credit note for £15.99. So if your buying on a buy so many and get so many free, it may be worth while splitting your purchase and/or checking what a store's refund policy is on this type of promotion0 -
My Dad just took 2 unused tins of paint back they had been brought on the 3 for 2 deal, he had lost the receipt so took a copy of his bank statement in and they gave a credit note - for full price of tins too. Suited us fine as got more rooms to decorate next month. He had no problems at customer services and even told them they had all been purchased on the 3 for 2 deal!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

You need a receipt, according to the staff I spoke to. But they might refund if you bought with plastic, as they can then trace it in their system. I argued and they did a refund without a receipt of a debit card purchase.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
Retail staff frequently quote this when what they mean is proof of purchase. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
