Help: Motorola Atrix vs SE Xperia Arc vs Samsung Galaxy S 8GB

Hope someone can give some advice to me regarding which one of these is the better phone? Im new to the whole world of smartphones :o

Motorola Atrix on T Mobile
Sony Erricson Xperia Arc on T Mobile
Samsung Galaxy S 8GB on vodafone

The atrix and ericsson look like newer phones? Heard battery life is pretty poor on the SE and samsung.

Also, what is a decent amount of data to get...will 100MB or 500MB be enough for checking emails and surfing etc?

Id really appreciate some help and advice from others who've had these phones.

Thank you!

100Mb is a small amount unless you spend most of time on WiFi.
500Mb will be probably enough for emails and browsing without streaming/downloading, but you'll need to keep your eye on the usage.
The more you use WiFi the less mobile data you need.

thanks grumbler. I've had a look at the comparisons, but they dont always tell you what the phones are like to live with or what glitches they have, which is why I thought to ask if anyones had any of these and what they thought of it.

Thanks for the wi-fi tip. Which one would you choose all other things being equal?

Also, why do sony ericssons have their own catergory seperate to android phones when i search for them on different websites? Do SE not run android, or are they somehow distinct from other android handsets such as HTCs, samsungs, etc.?

Personally, I have never paid more than £100ish for any phone. This is how much my Desire cost me. ETA: this is not the price of the phone. It's the total cost of the phone and the contract after all cashbacks.

I don't understand what you mean.

I'd have the desire over all of these too if I could afford it. But given these are free on a 24 month contract, i was asking which you'd have. I think I'm leaning towards the motorola.

What I meant by that poorly worded sentence - is the sony ericsson and motorola just as 'synchronised' with android as the samsung and HTCs seem to be? I.e. I wont be missing out or left behind in the android world buying a moto over say, a HTC?
