Hi netty86,

We will add different charges at different stages of the debt recovery process.

From what you have said it sounds like you have a been through at least part of the process more than once, hence so many different charges.

If you want this explained you can e-mail me at onlinecomplaints@scottishpower.com with your account details, we may also be able to agree to a payment plan which you can afford.

Kind regards

What do you mean 'if applicable'? You said you'd already been charged these fees, but then that a PPM hadn't been fitted, as you'd moved property? So the dog handler fee would only be added if you had a dog at the property and were still living there.
Those charges look fairly typical though (but what's 'TSE hire fee'?).
Much better and cheaper under these circumstances to allow voluntary fitment though.

I was replying to the post, a dog handler may of been booked for the ops warrant if it was deemed they are very expensive. TSE hire is where the company hires a national grid engineer to carry out a block of warrants, they would stay with the debt collection agent for booked slots.

It would of been better for the op to allow, Im 100% they would ofgiven the chance and after several letters.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
• Hi,

The fees are as follows:
DOM Fee £37 Add93 Fee £93 Warrent Fee £55 Add #93 Fee £93 Warrent Fee £55 DOM Fee £37
Warrent Fee £93 Warrent Court Charge £55 and Debt Advisory Charge £39

Thats all the charges, when I rang and asked what each one stood for even they was unsure. I will speak to the representative and see if he can help me with sorting out this debt.

Thanks for all the help x

I'm not clear what it is that you're actually disputing? How many warrants were issued?

• There were 2 warrents issued, which I am willing to pay for, but my issue is that they want me to pay a large amount of the bill of now so that I can se up a payment plan, which at this moment in time I can not afford to do.

I will try and sort this with them, just not sure if they have the power to say that I can not set up a payment plan unless I pay a large sum upfront x

Have you already had a payment plan which has failed?
You owe them a debt which (it appears) that you do not dispute the bulk of. They're entitled to demand whatever they like-they're under no obligation to offer you any payment plan, which presumably they think you're unlikely to stick to, as you are no longer their customer. So yes, they can refuse to set up a payment plan unless you pay something as a lump sum, as they can no longer wave the PPM stick at you.
And equally, of course, you can refuse to pay it, in which case they will eventually sell the debt on to a DCA.

• Yes I have had a payment plan in place but I asked if it could be put on hold until the end of October as my partner was made redundent and will be starting work again soon, but I was told that it was not possible to do this and if I did not carry on the payments then I would accure additional charges. With only one wage coming in every month it wsa impossible for me to carry on with the payments.

I have just e-mailed the representative so hopefully he will be able to start the payment plan back up without me having to pay a large sum upfront.

Thanks x

• Thank you chanz4 for the reply. I really hope they do disregard of some of the charges, just want to get this sorted soon as!!

I am hoping that the representative on hear is a nice mr and not too mean lol. They really do need to look into their customer service side of the business when it comes to trying to sort out issues such as this.

Thanks hun x

Unfortunately since you breached the repayment agreement (for whatever reasons) it's not all surprising that you've now been asked for a lump sum. Did you inform them at the time that you would not be able to continue paying and needed to reschedule the debt?
