If you look in the link I provided above in post #11 it says your camera has a limit of 2GB.

    Here is the camera section:

The NIkon UK websites says that the D50 can take cards over 2gb:

"Which memory cards I can use in my digital camera?

    ...Only the following Nikon cameras support FAT32 allowing the use of memory cards with capacities over 2GB - D100, D200, D2 series, D40, D50, D70, D70s, D80, COOLPIX 8800, COOLPIX 8700 and COOLPIX 8400."

I'm wary of these. Bought a Datawrite 2GB card from Amazon to use in a Nikon compact camera. Worked well up to a point, but then it decided to conk out...someone has lost all her Antarctica pictures :(

Anyone know if the Wii can read 4gb cards?

I Believe there is a comment on this thread that the max at the moment is 2Gb. wether its that it will only recognise it as a 2GB or will not recognise it at all i dont know, but when i get mine i'll whack it into the wii for you and let you know

just checked on the wii wikipedia page under tech specs. 2GB only
  • Surely if the limit is 2gb then a 4gb would just show up as 2gb?

    ?

would expect so as it woulsd/should recognise the first 2GB.

i would suggest you get it anyway, as there will be i'm sure an update to enable a bigger SD size to be recognised, especially with the photo album facility and the fact that nintendo can update your wii in standby mode...:)

Just opened my 4gb card only to find that its a SDHC type. Not compatible with any of my cameras. Sending back as order conf and invoice state SD only. Oh Well.
