So angry re: Avon rep and no refund - Updated!!!

Some of you may remember me posting around 3 weeks ago about a lack of refund from my Avon rep. Well it has now been six weeks and no refund customer services never got back to me on the phone, so I emailed customer services. They have told me as reps work on a self employed basis that they can't intervene but can pass my concerns onto the area manager!
So basically I have lost thirteen pounds or more I feel it has been stolen. Sorry I'm just angry/annoyed!!

Avon are members of the DSA a complaint to them might help. http://www.dsa.org.uk/contact/
"Avon is a founder member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA), the body which works to promote high standards amongst companies who sell direct to consumers.
The DSA was formed in 1965 to uphold, amongst its members, the highest standards of conduct bearing in mind the privileged relationship they have with consumers in doing business with them in the privacy of their own homes. In 1987 the Director of Fair Trading endorsed the DSA Code of Practice. The DSA's aim is to ensure that its members offer to consumers a degree of consumer protection that is at least the equal of any of their competitors in other forms of retailing. An independent Code Administrator administers the DSA code. Avon subscribes to this code of practice"

I'd be annoyed too have you not got the reps number. I would have given you the refund straight away when you asked for it, I wouldn't expect you to give me the item with out me giving you the money because if I was delivering I wouldn't deliver without being given the moneySealed pot challenge 18750

Avon are wriggling . If the rep fails to refund your payment, Avon should itself make the refund.

Thank you for the tip :T didn't know that!
Thanks for replies. I know I should call her but I hate confrontation!!
These are the emails i've had from avon (and my replies!)
Hello,
I am now emailing you as I have had no reply from phoning customer services.
What has happened...
I ordered a derma full pro deep wrinkle concentrate for thirteen pounds for delivery on the 11th July. I returned the product back to my agent on Wednesday 3rd August for a refund. I had heard nothing from her in three weeks so I text her asking when I would get my refund on Wednesday 24th August to which I got the reply 'Well i've had trouble with the refunds. As soon as the money is in my account you will have it'
I was not happy with this reply and phoned the number on the back of my order slip 0333 2345678 on Wednesday 24th August and was told the area rep would call my back within 48 hours but I have had no reply.
On Wednesday 14th September it will have been six weeks since my rep has had the product back but I have not had a refund and I am very angry about this.
My reps details are;
Le*****, Adress, Tel no
My details are;
L, Address, Tel no
I really want my money back now and feel that I have waited long enough for it.

That was sent on 12th September

Dear Ms J
Thank you for your recent email.
We are very sorry to hear that you feel the service you have received from your local Representative is unacceptable. Clearly, this is not the service we wish for them to provide.
As Avon Representatives are self-employed we are unable to intervene with the running of their business. However, we will forward your concerns to the local Area Sales Manager for their information.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Avon Sales Service Centre
And this was my reply -
Thank you for the reply.
Well seeming I had no contact from the area rep when I phoned up before and from what you have said then I may as well look at it as though I have been lost thirteen pounds.
Although I appreciate that the reps work on a self employed basis, I feel more should been done when they steal from their customers.
I have just checked my emails and had this reply -

So, kind of good. i'm hoping a credit is a refund as I'm not settling for less!! I feel like calling her a little thief, wish I could tell the whole street lol I must admit I havn't seen her out delivering this week, so wondering if she has give it up - not my problem, maybe wrong but. I've chilled out again now LOL so will send them a letter as advised recorded delivery.Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0 -
I'd call the police and the local paper. Yes it's only £13 but it's outright theft of your money. Get the local paper to print a story about her and I'm sure she won't have many customers left for long...
It saddens me that ths goes on and Avon don't intervene as it gives the rest of us hard working honest reps a bad name! It took me 4 campaigns of putting my books out before i got any decent orders, as customers wanted to see if I was going to stick it out and actually come back!
If you returned the item 2 days after she delivered it she wouldn't have had to pay Avon until 12 days later and could have had the item credited off that invoice, so she's clearly just fed you BS from day 1. i had a lady wanting to return a hair dye and i went round and gave her the money back within 10 minutes of her caling - suffice to say I got a thank you and another nice big order from her.0 -
WOW - She has knocked on my door like 2 seconds ago with my refund :rotfl: Only took 7 weeks and a day!! And she actually apologised saying she couldn't return it as she hadn't realised she needed a returns book (not my problem but yaay I have my money back!Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0
