So I'm guessing that you really have to use the card a hell of a lot to make it worthwhile...
£6 to apply for the card although you get a ryanair voucher for the same amount in return.
£0.50 if paying in sterling.
5.75% if paying in currency other than sterling
£6 to cash out any remaining funds
And not forgetting that a lot of banks will charge a 'cash advance' fee for topping up these cards...
And worth noting there is a monthly fee of £2.50 if the card has not been used in six months.0 -
I must admit I sleep far better every night since I stopped using Ryanair over 2 years ago. Still manage to get everywhere we want to go without having to play their silly little games.
I can't think of another company who make it quite as difficult to give them business.0 -
"All UK bookings made with any other UK MasterCard prepaid card will attract Ryanair’s £6 admin fee from 1st November 2011 onwards.....The Ryanair Cash Passport will be rolled out in other European countries in the coming months."
Does this mean you will still be able to book fee-free the return leg of a trip using your existing Mastercard Prepay after 1st November? Or does a departure from outside the UK count as a "UK booking" when a card registered to a UK address is used for payment?0 -
I wonder if all the ryanair supporters will still be happy0

I'm a Ryanair supporter too and I'm not too happy. Not so much that's it a new card but the 6 month inactivity charge.
There's also a negative balance charge? How can you have a negative balance from a prepaid card. Defeats the object.0
