After recently getting engaged, me and my Fiance are looking at getting married abroad next year. Does anyone have any advice on where is best at a reasonable price?

Hi,
First of all Congratulations
Me and my other half got married 3 years ago (this Saturday!) in Ayia Napa in Cyprus at the Grecian Sands Hotel.
It was the best day ever! I can really recommend Cyprus its a lovely place with really really nice people.
I think we paid about £3,000 for the holiday and wedding excluding the wedding rings which were expensive
but that was three years ago so I have no idea on todays prices. Wins: Holiday to Thailand May 2014

Congrats.
Cyprus is crazy for weddings, don't look there.
I think it depends on what you want, how many people, what type of evening do, whether you want to get married on the beach at the hotel etc.
Google it, there are lots of companies that specialise in weddings abroad although they do tend to be expensive using one of these. Some friends have sorted flowers, meal etc out themselves in Rhodes and saved a small fortune.
Good luck.0 -

Wow that is not badly priced really. I must have looked at the most expensive places!0 -
Hi boopops. We got married this year in Zante and cannot recommend it enough! It was the most amazing day of our lives!
We didn't have ANY stress whatsoever..... they sort it all out for you, from start to finish and the service from Frances and her team was so friendly and professional. Wish we could do it all over again!
It was definitely cheaper than what we wanted if we had got married here........the only added expense was the actual 2 week holiday we had out there. All of our family and friends came out for a week and it was so special.......we had a whole week of celebrating!

Depends entirley on what kind of wedding you want
Me and Dh got married in new York last year in the Manhattan Marraige bureau as we were going there for a weekend away. The wedding cost us $60.March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -
My brother and sister-in-law got married in Las Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel (on the main strip, near the Bellagio). I don't know exactly how much it was price-wise but apparently it was fairly reasonable. We had a great time

Congrats on your engagement  We got hitched in Mauritius...the planned beach wedding actually turned out to be hotel wedding in the middle of a cyclone
but there was no complicated bureaucracy that you can get with some places 0 -
Congratulations.
We are also looking into getting married abroad, and have first looked at the people who promise to organise everything for you. The more popular the place you look at, the more expensive it will be.
For example, if you think of Greece, places like Cyprus and Santorini will be expensive, but the smaller islands, which are more in need of tourism will offer better value for money. I went to Skiathos a few years ago and remember thinking it would be a lovely place to get married, it wasn't too touristy, the locals were friendly, and it was a beautiful setting.
I would recommend shopping around, consider getting married later or earlier in the season and also look into booking direct if you can be bothered with all the organisation. For example, we went to Skiathos at the end of September, we got an amazing deal as it was towards the end of the season, restaurants were thrilled to see us, but it was still lovely and warm.
Also, the other thing is to consider what happens if it rains. A lot of places have offered us lovely beach weddings, but when we ask what would happen if it rained, they show us a small room in the back that they use, which wasn't that nice.0 -
Hiya and congrats - we got married in ayia napa 4 years ago and would def reccomend it - the people are super friendly
i would say it cost about £3500 but to b honest the wedding package can be tailored to suit your needs - We booked with libra holidays and they sorted out everything and we had a wedding planner who was fantastic and was able to sort out all the last min arrangement when we arrived - everything ran very smoothly and we had a fantastic holiday - we hope to go back next year to celebrate our 5th anniversay as we always say what a fantastic place it is - we stayed / got married in the pavlonapa hotel - if you want to ask anything at all just message me i dont mind at all
We choose cyprus over mexico etc as the legalities were so much easier so just be careful about what is involved before you book anything Comp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0
