Hi all.
i am wondering if a parents credit rating is used when doing a credit search for their childs first bank account?
My son is almost 12 and i want to open him a bank account, but as it is i have an appalling CR (and can only get a Natwest step account for myself) i am wondering if this will make a difference?

A Childs account (Under 18), is not credit checked as there is no credit facility avaialble to under 18s. it may have an ID validation check but that is all.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
