RyanAir Flight Delay

Hi,
Me and my partner went to Fuertreventura last year My flight was delayed overnight and we was made to sleep on the airport floor as no taxis were laid on to take us to hotels, I didnt claim last year as I was told I wasn't entitled (Naive I know), I only really looked into it the other week and realised I am entitled to compensation!
Have I left it to late to claim, if not do I claim from the travel insurance or RyanAir? Any idea of how I would go about it!?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Antonio

As long as you've got a receipt for the rental charge for kipping on the airport floor I think you've got chance of getting at least a couple of thousand out of this!0

Not Article 5 Compensation. Your entitlement was Article 9 of http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:32004R0261:EN:HTML Right to Care.

I understand that if the OP had booked into a hotel they would have been entitled to a refund under the right to care for food, meals, transport...but since they are not claiming reimbursement what are the airline likely to do?0

Caz3121, it appears the airline have breached Article 9 of the regulation which has been with us for more than 5 years, airlines should always have contingency plans and agreements with local suppliers to satisfy their obligations under the regulation http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:32004R0261:EN:HTMLPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Cheers for your help, I will get a draft something up to send to Ryanair later.
Can I claim for the overnight delay aswell as the breach of obligations?0
