Having spoken to an Argos driver, I would not touch any Argos returns pallets. Apparently when the drivers collect items for returns, they hurl them into the back of the van and don't bother to secure them so they slide all over the place.Never Knowingly Understood.

I once went to an auction and they had a pallet of electrical returns , rather alarmingly there was something dark and sticky dripping out through the shrinkwrap....someone did joke that they had shrinkwrapped and squashed a family of rats in there, I do hope they were joking.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. This is a great place to buy pallets of damaged or faulty stock...
I know someone that bought a pallet of returned electricals and found two chip fryers still full of lard!!
Also be wary of the alleged RRP on the items - it is nearly always the original price, rather than the current price. As the stock is quite old, you will find it is sold at pretty much the same price as you would pay from these pallet clearance places.
Very few auction houses have websites, or at least websites with accurate inventory listings, but have a look at https://www.charlestaylor.co.uk in Salford or http://www.auction.u-net.com/ in Wandsworth. Be prepared for some hostile bidding, and also bear in mind that most sold lots end up on market stalls, so no ebay fees or P&P to factor in to the price.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I can give you the answer to one of the questions in that review - what happens when a customer has half their stock missing when delivered - the answer, from experience, is a sticky mess. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
