It's called HTC Panache in Canada. I believe it's the myTouch 4G here.0

With regard to the sim, the phone has to be unlocked. Don't know if they lock mobiles over there. Most 3G networks in Europe operate in the 2100 MHz frequency band.0 -
Seems very similar to the Desire S
Is it easy to unlock these phones?0 -
Can anyone actually confirm it will work ok?0

Check what bands it uses but if it's the same as a Mytouch 4g then it should be fine, I had an LG Optimus T from TMobile USA and it worked fine in the UK with Orange.
My Blackberry storm was a Verizon USA phone, they partner with Vodafone in the UK but again fine on Orange here & AT&T in the US!

The HTC Panache apparently supports 3G networks on both the 1700mhz and 2100mhz bands. The 2100mhz band is what 3G networks in the UK use, so as long as the phone is unlocked to accept a sim from any network, it'll work on both 2G and 3G networks in the UK.0
