I've been working for my current employer for the past 6 years. 3 years ago they offered me Term time hours and I worked 25 hrs per week. I only orginally claimed for DLA, it was the lady on the phone who told me about the diabilty element of tax credit and carer's allowance.

Carer's allowance is considered as income and taxable, so this will effect tax credits, it about 55.00 per week x 52 wks, £2860 per year. So they will added this to your earnings x
