Problems using all of halifax services

Options
Hi , I am aware that over the weekend halifax were upgrading there systems but since them doing this I have been unable to send any faster payments and when I have tried to use my debit card or use cash machine my transactions have all been declined .
I was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems at all doing any of the above ?

People are experiencing different things at present. There are quite a few threads about this. Some people's accounts have gone awol, others (like me) can see balances but not transaction history. I've read about others experiencing delays trying to withdraw from ATMs, and Faster Payments issues, cheque clearing issues, credit card issues and mortgage amounts being incorrect. I think there a "few" teething problems that they'll hopefully get sorted out soon.

  • I posted this in another thread, but same applies here...... I had given out a Halifax cheque for £150 which unfortunately, I was going to have to let bounce today. I had a balance of £50 with £15 available as I had spent £35 on debit cards over weekend. Went to draw the £15 out this morning and balance is ZERO available ??? Checked online, and they have processed the £150 cheque, ( something which they have never done before ), ignored my £35 spent on cards and left me with a balance of £100 overdrawn ????? ON a basic account with NO OVERDRAFT ?

I have child benefit coming in tomorrow which was to going to cover a really important £15 chq, but thats probably going to bounce now as I will still be overdrawn by about £55. My only thoughts are that if they have allowed ALL chqs to clear today regardless, that hopefully they will do same tomorrow for my important £15 one. This has really stuffed up my plans... :-(

I can't make any payments or view my balance. My Car Insurance DD has not been paid today and I am have just the min tried paying a bill online and it was declined. I had to use the counter today after attempting to pay for a haircut which was very embarrassing when my card was declined when I went to pay.

    Thanks Halifax!

I went into the branch today about a returned DD as I couldn't access to transfer money into the account. They cancelled the charge there and then. I think they are expecting it tbh.
