This is very worrying. I have a genuine Disney region 2 DVD, still sealed and was planning to put in on Ebay for auction. I wouldn't want to damage my selling status by getting the auction pulled. I'll keep a close watch on how this progresses before doing anything.0

i wonder if the reason your sale was pulled, was due to it being listed under the wrong section.......
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I suppose the older versions are ok to sell on here cos the companies don't lose money cos they don't make half of them anymore! so thats why DVD's are expensive .....cos they have created new jobs for people to search ebay and complain!! lol

someone has just had a playstation 2 game removed!!!!!!!!!! what the hell is going on.
soon we won`t be able to list anything for fear of upsetting VERO0 -
i had some 3 pay sim cards removed for no reason - aparently infringing copyright....0

I thought that it was perfectly legal to sell cds/dvd/games.
What pictures are people using to sell the games/films? Are people using pictures that they have not been given permission to use? How about taking a picture of the product instead of using a generic picture that you find on the net. Does this make a difference? I'm just grasping at straws here.0 -

no, i used my own picture on my listing. it was my own personal dvd and a genuine one at that.
trouble is ebay are still taking the listing fees for things that get removed, and there is no warning when you do list an item like that VERO can have it removed....gggrr
maybe someone clever can do something about it, as ebay are just ignoring all my emails.
i also appealed to the american motion picture association ampa... but had no reply.
if only ebay had a phone contact instead of just emails...it might speed up complaints etc.
i think trading standards should tighten up on ebay..because so many things go wrong and they never seem bothered.0 -

Most people copy the images from other websites, this could be one reason. So far I have always took a picture of the product with my own camera and I use that for display. It looks much neater than the rest too !
