Go to samsung's site for warranty information. Remember its with them and not the seller. Although you could get a refund under trading laws within 14 days.

Warranty applies to all samsung monitors, not just this one.

I believe Samsung withdrew their zero dead pixel policy about a year or so ago.

I can't find any info on their site about it other than them saying the monitors have a 3 year warranty, and here's a recent article that also mentions that they have withdrawn it (see the paragraph on the Samsung SyncMaster 215TW monitor).

Some manufactures are now incorporating HDMI inputs, think Gateway is one.

I would like my next widescreen to be tiltable, i.e. to be able to turn thru 90 deg . So giving ideal DVD watching horizontally, and web surfing vertically to get away from scrolling.

I can vouch for morecomputers, as I ordered one of the Samsung SM940BW
on Tuesday and it arrived yesterday.
Amazing screen and very quick turn-around.
The monitor came with VGA cable, DVI cable, both UK and European power cables.
    Most pleased.:D

    Hi,
We bought the 19 inch Samsung yesterday from Argos with a built in tv tuner on offer for £249 i think it was(£50 off)
Brilliant picture and yes, also has the 3 year warranty. Lots of input connections as well, and also HD ready.
Also got a brilliant Alphason glass/chrome stand on offer from av4home for £47.90 delivered. They also have them in Black as well. Ordered yesterday afternoon and arrived thismorning, Brilliant! Looks really classy in the corner of my sons bedroom. Well impressed.

Also, the Samsung website has brilliant close ups of the connections of the tv/monitor and comprehensive online manuals. I can highly recommend this set.
    Cheers

    just to update

morecomputers have been amazing, they swapped mine within a day because i wasn't happy with a dead pixel

not many would do that and especially not in time they did

they picked up mine, and dropped the replacement at the same time..

on another note, what contrast and brightness settings are you using, because my eyes cannot get used to a setting yet
