Tesco Finest Bathrooms...any feedback?

Hello everyone,
How I wish I had read some of these reviews before signing on with Tesco bathrooms. Hindsight...
I've experienced much of the same issues. I should have realised things were quickly going south when I paid the deposit and MarkTwo took it twice! That was two deposit payments of £5000 within 3 days of signing. They first denied that the deposit was taken twice until I had to prove to them it was.
We had one builder come in who then completely messed up the work. He also showed up when he wanted, hurt himself by not wearing safety gear and just didn't turn up for 3 entire weeks.
A lot more went wrong. If you're interested in all the issues, feel free to message me and I can send you the formal letter of complaint.
After receiving a response to my complaint, MarkTwo basically admitted that there were many problems, however, they are not bothered and if we don't pay the retainer our bathrooms won't be guaranteed.
We do not feel that the £900 retainer is justified. Not after everything we've gone through. How can I take this further? Any help is appreciated.

My FIL is a bathroom fitter and tiler. He was called in while Tesco was doing the bathroom by the homeowner. He was totally shocked at a) how much they were charging and b) how poor the work was.
The lady usually uses him but he was really, really busy and couldn't do the job for ages, so she went via Tesco (she wanted it done for Christmas) She specified that she wanted easy access- when he got there they were building a plinth to put the shower on, which meant that when the shower tray was added there was a step of about 12 inches! They checked the paperwork and there it was, written down, easy access, small steps etc.
He said it was because it was a much bigger job to take up the floor boards and put the plumbing under there- much easier and cheaper to build a plinth.
He also couldn't believe how much she was paying. He was also said the level of workmanship was pretty ropey.0
