This sounds terribly spammy.

It would seem that positive experiences don't count on this forum and newbees opinions are not welcome!

What's with the word Spammy

Sorry if you don't like the opinion of someone who is happy with Tesco Finest Bathrooms!:exclamati

funny - newbies with all this to say

Where DO they come from?

I have had a kitchen installed (one local firm) and a bathroom installed (a different local firm)

My advice - ask around - ask colleagues, neighbours and keep asking.

If you go with someone who's work you don't know and for whom you have no recommendations ask if you can go and see people they have worked for.

The bloke who did my kitchen was recommended to me by a colleague for whom he had worked. He doesn't even advertise - he gets all his work through word-of-mouth.

Big companies like Tesco will

a) employ sub-contractors - so quality will vary form town-to-town
b) take a cut themselves

Yes indeed where do newbees come from, how dare they post a positive comment!

"Where do they come from" What an arrogant, uneducated comment! Perhaps newbees should stay off this website and leave you all to it with your negativity!

The OP asked for "any comments" so presumably meant both good and bad. Someone has posted positively. What is the problem with that and why should it be spam?
• I have been trying to get Tesco finest bathrooms to pay me my clubcard points for over 3 months. I spent over 14k on a bathroom and 2 on suites. The owe me 30k bonus clubcard points and 14331 clubcard points. I've emailed, called and now I am dealing with there cheif executive complaints department. They keep promising me the points but so far Ive got nowhere. They wont now be on in time for this statement. I wanted them to change to virgin holiday vouchers. It's even part of the contract that I will get these clubcard points. I am digusted in the way they fob you off and blame each other. They even told the complaints team they have sorted it when they havent. I think I may have to look at taking this further. Be aware if you buy a bathroom, they aren't cheap and they don't seem to want to know after they get your money. Jane
• Tescos finest bathrooms are con artists. Avoid like the plague. They do not do the work. They subcontract it to Mark Two. Mark Two do not do the work. They subcontract it to local fitters and electricians. These final fitters and electricians seem to be the worst who sign up for the lowest fees when they cant get other work. The quality and service are abysmal and when you complain they dissemble and avoid responsibility. They are also very expensive for what they deliver. You are paying for all those levels of management. My final bathroom looked nothing like the plans, as they broke their agreement. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid

We're having a revamp of our 20 year old ensuite and are getting quotes. We had the Tescos Finest Bathroom designer come and chat and measure up last week. He did us a very competent CAD design including sanitary wear, taps etc choices that we made from a range on his computer, and at the end of the session handed us a very comprehensive quote - together with CAD floorplan and elevations. The quote itself included some minor building work (ie the removing and repositioning of a partition wall - and making good, and the renewing of floorboards) + all other ancillary items (ie lighting, tiling, flooring, underfloor heating), and taking away old suite and fitting all the above. I was quite impressed. Also there was no 'hard sell' - so far that is! The price appeared to reflect the work involved and compared well to a previous bathroom refit we had via Ripples (that was pricey - but their products are in the expensive range!). The quote, although comprehensive (listing everything) gave no individual prices - only the final total price. So it's hard to know if the costs are in the product or the installation.

So my questions are:
Does anyone have any experience of Tesco Finest Bathrooms? What are their products like - cheap and flimsy or good solid stuff? Has anyone had experience of their installations and fitters? Are they skilled and reliable, or.........?

Think the OP probably has their new en suite by now. The post is over 2 years old.

I would order food from Tesco, and a bathroom from a bathroom specialist.

My 4 day bathroom project took, 6 workmen 7 full months to complete to a satisfactory standard. 1 workman thought the best way to fix a wash basin and a toilet cistern to the wall was to use large blobs of mastic... If I save anyone my experiences I have achieved my aim. You really don't want your kitchen cupboards smelling of damp, as mine now do due to over tightening of feed pipes leading to a continuous leak.
