Cheapest PAYG Mobile to Mobile Calls
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a PAYG SIM provider, who offers either cheap or free mobile to mobile calls within the same network. We need two SIM cards (one household). We only really call each other, so it doesn't matter what network it is as long as we get cheap or free calls between each other.
Thanks.

Free:
giffgaff (topup required every 3 months IIRC)
lebara (topup required - don't know how often)0 -
Asda sells sim cards for 50p and the calls are 10p per minute, think its 6p for a text. My OH has been using the same £10 top up for about 12 months he rarely uses it and he has not needed to pay any more.0

Thanks, have just looked at these. Giffgaff require a £10 topup upon activation, so that would be £20 to start with.

You are going to struggle to find any unlimited "free" calls between the same network if you're not prepared to at least pay for a £10 top up on each SIM card.
Giffgaff will require a £10 top up on each SIM card every 3 months for free same network calls - this is an annual cost of £80 altogether for free unlimited calls between the two handsets.
The cheapest in this respect is going to be icardmobile - as you can get a free SIM card and make top-ups in £5 denominations (unlike giffgaff) and you can make free calls to another icardmobile number provided you have at least a 10p balance - so you don't need to regularly top up.
Before this sounds too good to be true (as it pretty much is free calls for as long as you can make £5 credit last) there is one important restriction - free calls are limited to TEN MINUTES IN LENGTH so you would probably need to be redialling regularly. After 10 minutes you'll start to be charged 6p per minute.
Depends how important money saving is, and if you think you can get used to the art of 9 minute phone calls!

But ADSA do not offer free calls to the same network...No free lunch, and no free laptop

The three network is free forever if you just use the skype service no need to ever top but there paygo fees are more expensive than the likes of giffgaff.0
