Hi
I've sent something out on eBay , they've received it but they have launched a claim as it was sent late and they want a refund and want to return it.
Has anyone had the same issue? I kept them up to date and told them what day it would get there and yet they persist. They only launched the claim after they received it.
Thanks

What claim have they opened and what reason as stated in the claim? Also how do you know they have it and how long did it take you to post the item?'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Hi
They've opened a "item not as received" I said 4 business days to deliver but I delivered in 7, I let them know on the 3rd working day that it would get there on the 5th working day. The item was bought late on in the night and they're counting this as the first working day.0 -
Are you a business or private seller?
If you're a business you have to accept cancellations for any reason.0 -
Hi
I'm a private seller
Thanks0 -
Do you have tracking that says the item was delivered?
If not, I would accept the return, otherwise Paypal will give them their money back and they will still have the item.:j30/7/10:j

If it is tracked online and shows delivery then add th etracking to the paypal claim as that is all you need to stop an INR for an item under £150. If it was over £150 then you must ensure there is a copy of the signature online.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's been received. They want a refund because it was late. But the only Despute they could open was "item not as described" but the real issue is "the item was a day late, so I want to send it back for a refund" that's why they chose "item not received" as I've done nothing wrong.0

It's different if you are now saying it is a SNAD claim- you can't defend that with your proof of delivery and in most cases paypal will find for the buyer, whatever the excuse is that they use.
However, you don't have to refund until you have the item safely back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
