OH wants his running shorts washed in time for him leaving tomorrow for the Great North Run, why leave it till the last moment to tell me??

Wm went on, then stopped, had to drag it out (yet again), take the back off, make the drive belt thing go back on to its wheel thingy, put the back back on, wiggle machine back into its hole, start again, fingers crossed it is working.

Seriously it is time to look for a new one this one was 2nd hand when I got it 7 or 8 years ago! so it must be about 10 to 12 years old in total.

I think I want to look for 7kg or 8kg, with spin speed of 1400 or 1600, any one recommend their, if so what make etc? google/ agros / curry's etc have come up with several, but personal recommendation is the best way to go imo.

1st load is out on line
Hair is coloured, as per what is on the box, not too sure I like it...............

    chilling out for now

hey kazwookie, I think Pigpen is getting a new washing machine, I'm sure she said 10kg and 1600 spin, might be worth asking her which one it is when she gets back.

Poor you about the washing, I'm a meanie and make OH do his own!!! I don't think his mum would approve if she knew lol

  • I'd have told him that the sink is over there and to use handhot water, Kazwookie. No wasting washing powder here.

Have snapped at Minion for ignoring my instructions to tidy her room and tipping her plate on the floor with a crash because she wasn't paying attention to it when she balanced it rather than get up and put it in the DW. She finally went upstairs then, but I still had to go up and tell her to clean the room. Wonky knee or not, she's not getting away with doing nothing.

I wonder how Piggers is getting on?

Oh well, must put more bins out for collection tomorrow - I will have remembered twice in a row if I do this now! No running out at 6.34am as they clatter up the road, barefoot, in my trackies and vest top :D Lucky binmen:)

House a bit messy but wall outside is getting re-built slowly - was in danger of falling down and is 8 ft high so have saved and had anniversary pressies of bricks to get it done and will look fab and more importantly won't fall on anyone!

DH is off tomorrow so will play catch up a bit on lists (well his own version) and I have mountains of schoolwork to get done and shifted. Have been accepted on a maths specialist teachers course so am going to have to just get stuff done this weekend and clear the decks a bit, plus birthday girls guinea pig arrives next weekend and his home will be where my school gibble is currently piled high.

    List for tonight:
    Dishes
Bath - her, bedtime - him, bedtime - her
    15 mins lounge declutter
    15 mins kitchen/diner
    WM?
    15 mins our room
15 mins sorting lessons for tomorrow
Type up important school documents - dull but necessary
    Clothes and lunch for morning
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

ahhh didn't realise 10kg was that huge, I've got no idea about washing machines :o I have no idea what mine is :o I can use it thats about it. The last of the domestic goddesses here :rotfl:

Poor you JoJo sounds like minion is giving you the teenage treatment today.

Am a bit bored and not sure what to do with myself, could really do with doing some more cleaning but my back is still sore so don't think it's such a good idea to get the hoover out. So an sitting up in bed, more or less comfy for once, with a cup of tea and the biccie box, lovely :T
  • evening everyone.

after very little sleep last night ive spent the day in a heck of alot of pain. i rang the physio back to ask if there was anything sooner than the 27th but they are fully booked. she has put a note in the diary that any cancellations have to be offered to me no matter how short notice. i live 2 min walk from the hospital so never any problems getting there.

today i washed 1 load of dishes and i was forced to do a half load of washing as DS1 came home from school with his jumper covered in pen grrrr. his other jumper was already dirty so in went a load and they are now on the radiators drying.

ive taken more tramadol and im feeling very very sleepy now. i dont take them during the day coz they make me so drowsy i dont think i could react very well if someting happened to one of the kids but once they are settled in bed for the night i feel better. thing is they dont take the pain away they just relax me enough not to care iygwim?

decluttering sky plus right now and a bar of galaxy before crawling off to bed at 9.

hope to get some more energy and less pain for tomorrw coz the floors need hoovered and the hoover is stuck upstairs!
