Polo mk4 - Adding a boot light

Forget that.
The easy solution is one of those draw/cupboard lights that Ikea or other shops sell.
They have LEDs so last a long time and just run on batteries.0 -

And batteries are of course free??? :money:rememberI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
do any models of Mk4 Polo have a bootlight?
if so then you may have the wiring in place already and only require the light unit
worth a look0 -
Actually having just checked, I may have told a small lie..... I actually soldered the wires for the new boot light to the metal contacts on the existing bulb, then simply fitted that back in place with the wires coming round the back of the existing light, thereby avoiding modifying the cars wiring and the need to drag my £200+ soldering station (broke my portable
) out into the street

But you know by now, I never pay full price for anything
Simply making the statement that my well thought out, cunning plan (Baldrick?) avoided exposing expensive kit to wind, rain and most importantly the local street urchins
