Little update for the weekend.
My ds has been ill so i'm working from home today which gives me chance to do a few jobs. So I have chicken stock cooking, from the chicken I cooked for last nights tea, which I'm then going to make soup with. I cheated and bought a ready prepared soup pack from a1di but I have enough veg already for next weeks meals so it would have been wasteful to buy everything separately.
Just updated the budgets. My new c/c still hasn't arrived so I can't do my balance transfer grrrrr.
I've ordered a meat pack online which works out really cheap just have to see if the quality is ok, that's coming tomorrow so I will have to sort through it to work out what needs freezing.
Off for a low spend weekend as most of it will be spent tidying and waiting for my meat delivery.DFD September 2017

Credit card came over the weekend so it has now been activated and the balance transferred. Plus direct debit for a set amount set up, first payment will be the end of next month. Budget updated.
Meat arrived, great quality from what I've tried so far and I've now got a full freezer :-)
Update on my to do list

So just a couple of things left to do plus I need to pop into a bank branch with photo id to sort out my online banking, no idea why but my account was locked. Another credit card to cancel once the balance transfer has gone through. That's me down to 2 credit cards then both 0% and aiming to be df by July 2016.DFD September 2017

Well a nasty virus has seen me laid up in bed the last week, booooo!!
Just checked the banks for the first time in over a week and got a couple of nice surprises I got paid my incentive for switching bank accounts and my last payment for my old car has been refunded. I'm better off to the tune of £470!!!! Plus sold our old garage and got £300 to go towards the garden fund, that'll buy a bit of turf :-)
I've made two batches of cookies for snacks for the week and we have a leftover curry for our tea so I can go and put my feet up.
This month sees the start of big overpayments to the credit cards now that the smaller ones are paid off and my overdraft is gone. It's going to be great to see the amount going down by a chunk each month. It's been a long time coming but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :-)DFD September 2017

Just re tweaked my budget to take into account my new c/c payments and leaving a spare amount set aside each month for emergencies and house jobs (garden needs doing) looks like my dfd has come forward a couple of months to May 2015. Also once my emergency pot is up to a set amount if I have a surplus at the end of the month I'll use that to make an extra payment. Going to be making one this month only £50 but every bit helps.
So a summer holiday next summer looks achievable :-) once I've paid off the debts i'll be £1k better off each month (going to be overpaying a lot and getting rid of a loan payment for the new windows.
It feels like its been a long time coming and we have had a few bumps along the way but I feel like I can finally see a point where we are going to be rid of the debts.
Off to check the banks and update my spreadsheet as I get paid tomorrow.DFD September 2017

Overpayment made, as I get paid tomorrow and the nursery cheque hasn't been sent in (hubby forgot) I have rolled that payment on to next month and managed to make an overpayment of £150. It just means that an overpayment next month might be smaller but it makes me feel great seeing the total go down an extra £150 this month :-)DFD September 2017

Bit of a panic last night as when I picked my ds up from school he had managed to break his shoe!! Cue a panicked trip the nearest Cl@rks to get a new pair (he has narrow feet).
Apart from that there's not much to report, the banks are looking as they should, still set to make an overpayment at the end of the month, although my end of the month is a long way off as I get paid the middle of the month so that's mid June!! It seems a long way off but will be here before I know it.
I have a couple of days away planned with my friend next month after pay day) which I am really looking forward to we are going camping so should be relatively cheap.
Off to update my budget and banks.DFD September 2017

Woo just realised I paid off nearly £2k since October that pretty good going especially as I've now upped my payments, exciting to think what it will be in a couple of months time. Obviously I have forecast how much will be paid off but seeing it as actually paid off is much better :-)DFD September 2017
