sky+ remote problem

Hi all.My darling granddaughter dropped our sky+ remote control onto our hardwood floor this morning and (not surprisingly) it refused to work after. No matter which button you pressed the light on the remote wasnt coming on.So being a little knowledgeable I took out the batteries and took the remote apart reasoning that if it was done it was done.Anyway could see nothing wrong except the 2 screws holding the handset together were loose. So put it together and it worked!! except the volume control button. Now if I press it to raise/lower the volume the light on the remote lights up ok but not on the sky+ box.Im wondering is it still knackered or was it because I had the batteries out for about 20 mins and does it need reprogrammed,if so how? thanks in advance.
counting down the time I got left.:beer:

It needs to be reprogrammed, you can find instructions & codes for the TV's on Sky Active.

I had the same problem with my Samsung TV,tyr the code for the nearest model number listed.
ie instead of the code for your TX-P42X10B,try one for TX-P31ect ect.
  • You probably have knackered it as you state. There is one thing you can try, remove one battery, press the select button for 60 seconds then replace the battery.
