Cancelling my '3' account. Please help me

Hey I'm in a bit of a pickle to be honest.
I took out a wireless dongle contract with 3 which was over 2 years ago for my laptop. And cut a long story short, it's rubbish and doesn't really work so I stopped using it and haven't used it for around 2 years now. To be honest I don't even know where it is
I was then brought a iPad for my birthday around a year ago which didn't have the wifi built into it so got out another contract with them with the wireless device. Again, I haven't used this for a year now and I do not know where that one is either. all in all I'm paying just over £50.00 a month and I don't use any of the 3 contracts/devices. If 3 looked on my accounts they can see this is true. I'm 20 years of age. I was on basic minimum wage where £50 means quite a lot to me. So it frustrated me then and now ive lost my job I haven't got the £50 to even pay it at all. I have cancelled my direct debits for 3 today as the last thing I want is bank charges also I'm worried now that I will start getting debt collectors after me. When i call them i find it very difficult to understand them and end up putting the phone down in frustration. Do you think I have a chance in cancelling these contracts? Please help

By cancelling the DD's you will simply have your credit record trashed for the next 5 years-about the worst thing you could do at your age.
Your laptop dongle is probably out of minimum term contract now anyway, if over 24 months in, so you'd just need to call and give 30 days notice on that one if so.
What is the minimum term on the other dongle? You won't be able to cancel that before the minimum term is up, and the fact that you choose not to use the service, or are unemployed, (or have mislaid the dongle) is completely irrelevant-you are still in contract regardless, and 3 will hold you to that.
I still can't figure out why you started a second contract when the first one was still running though? No free lunch, and no free laptop

you have no chance of being 'let off' - age is nothing to do with it, job status is nothing to do with it. You took out the contracts you have to pay for them.
Here's an idea, sell your iPad to pay off your commitments.
The contracts stand, cancelling your direct debit only results in more bad news and more debt for you...0 -

So you got a dongle from 3 and in your words "it's rubbish and doesn't really work so I stopped using it" Why you did not look into cancelling this contract only you know the answer to that, what I do however find stupid is the fact that even after the service you got from the dongle you once more went to 3 to get another contract that you have not used for a year and again you have not looked at when you can cancel this contract.
3 don't care that you are not using the service they are providing, so maybe don't get so frustrated when talking to them and find out when your contracts are up and end them.
I would also advise you check for any other money coming out of your bank account for services that you have signed up to but forgotten about.0 -
Are both numbers on the same account - or are they unconnected? If you have met the minimum terms, you need to CANCEL what you don't use - they'll continue to charge you until you or they temrinate. Stop digging a big hole by ignoring the issue - visit a 3 shop and take the info with you, they are often helpful in sorting things out - but saying you don;t use it cuts no ice, as the service is paid for in advance, so if you don't use it - you need to tell them.
If you default, you don;t have to worry about being taken to court, but your credit file will be fried - and debt collectors who buy over the debt will pursue you.0
