JD Sports - Advice on Returning Faulty Trainers

I didn't pay £50 for them - regardless, I was looking for advice on returning them i.e. consumer rights. My 12 year old son would never wear Clarks shoes - the last time he had a pair was the first couple of years at primary!!! (plus their shoes are just as expensive)!

My husband bought me a pr of trainers in the JD shop. We discovered when we got home one was a 6 and one was a 5. went back the next day a saturday and a sale had started. He said he would give me the correct size and comenced to refund the receipt to put a 6 through. when i pointed out the lower price he said i could not have them 'cos we dont do refunds just 'cos you changed your mind.
To get to the point we had a very loud and long discussion about our consumer rights and we said we would stay there as long as it took. He caved in. You might try this tactic.
