I've emailed them about the shortfall in number of pouches (even though they charged me for 10 boxes) and they called this evening but I wasn't home so they are apparently calling back.

Can anybody who is more experienced at this sort of thing (I'm a glitch virgin!) tell me what are the magic words and phrases I need to use, please, I'm thinking along the lines of 'once you took my money for this order you entered into a contract to supply it'?

ON the subject of maximum amounts, I've been stopped from buying more than 10 of one thing at the checkout before now and also it won't let me order more than 10 of one anything online. I was surprised when I read that people had ordered more than 10, maybe it varies by region?

Wel done those of you donating to cat rescues :) it did cross my mind I'd do that if the cats hated Whiskas but they're wolfing it down! I'm sure I can still spare a box though (especially if they get their finger out and deliver the rest!)
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

Well I ordered 40 of the value baby bubbles - didn't get them all though but no-one said about any limits.

Grrrr, missed this one! Can I check whether this was a 'local' Express or if it was an Extra type store. Thanks.

Stocked up loads of the 14p sachets in my local express when I first took in the stray, but the amout she's getting through at the moment is crazy and this isn't any cheaper than buying the same food in tins.... says on the packs if they are pregnant they can eat up to 4 times as much!

I found these tins of cat food in a 'ordinary' Tesco store, didn't find them in the Extra I sometimes go to. HTH

On the subject of bulk buying, how then were so many folks able to buy dozens of the glitch custards, rice puds, jellies, etc? Some were posting they were buying 40/50 a time (and more). Even through the self service it couldn't go unnoticed, yet no-one posted they were stopped 'under the bulk buying rule'.
  • the bulk buying policy only seems to apply to heavy / bulky items, I remember when coke was on offer i ordered 10 x 24 packs and it was cancelled, so out of curiosity I ordered 40 x 6 packs and that was ok!!!!

It's because Ts make things up as they go along. The most I bought in one go was 60 and no-one batted an eyelid.

Tesco - they don't know their **** from their elbow.

life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.
  • Is in stock at Antrim Mr T's Extra, called this morning and they had 12 in stock, i have just been and bought 3, 2 were left on the shelf so if you go and there is none, ask them to check the warehouse. There is no SEL, but the product code is 5000166130387, just ask CS desk to check the product, or better still call before you go.
