Well another update from Tesco about quantities
Well thats the first i have heard of this 10 item thing - only one I had come across was bottled water is capped at 10 - and paracetamol at 2 packs.
Have replied to say I only ordered five boxes of catfood - admittedly they had 48 pouches inside but they were the ones who put the large boxes on the website for us to order.
thats a load of carp. i have brought 14 tins of soup and more than 10 tins of spaghitti hoops before now. ehmmm didnt a certain someone buy lots of strawbeery fab con when we had DTD ?
edit, your quote didnt get quoted here 7roland.life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
One box left at N.I N£wtonabbey when i went this afternoon, but I gave it to an elderly couple who were complaining that there was no deals on so they wasnt going to buy any cat food. I picked up the box and gave it to them pointing out the price, and they were very happy. I had already bought 3 boxes the previous day so decided to be a nice person and let them have it.
Customer service assistant was fab there, checked the warehouse, called another branch for me, without any luck and then gave me the product code and telephone number to call back tomorrow and check. I left feeling very happy I had passed on savings to somebody else who clearly needed it more than me0 -
I'm gutted that I have missed out on this offer as I took in a stray female cat 2 weeks ago, and despite all my efforts at finding her previous owner I have heard nothing! I told the RSPCA if no one comes forward I will get her done and then keep her, but I think i'm too late for that as she appears to be eating for more than one!!!!! Still keeping her though.
One of my local stores has a space to stock these, and stilll has the 'mispriced' ! ? SEL, but I don't think they have had any delivered over the last few days. Not sure if I saw a friend of martins also searching for these at just after 9 this morning, had a little chatterbox lad with you at Har-f0rd Br!dge5 store. If I did
anyway, as for that refund.... it looks like they have worked it at todays prices as the Whiskers offer ended last night. Well done, lucky you! :T0 -
Thanks to OP. Have just taken delivery of 4x48 fisherman choice pouches and 4x12 market produce pouches plus 1 box Kelloggs All Bran golden crunch
Total £19.85 incl £3 delivery

Well when I tried to order more water or paracetamol a red message came up saying I'd exceeded theamount allowed - never seen it with anyting else so therefore there isn't a limit - unless they adjust the website accordingly - how are we supposed to know of this mythical limit anyway??
And waht is a special offer if they are going to limit us whenever they feel like it - without us knowing the limits?Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

Hi, they used to have a 6 product limit for bulk buying, and that was done away with a couple of years ago ... As usual, they make it up as they go along, and as to the Tesco fairy tale, depends who you talk to ...0 -
Was in my local today and the previously reported 6 pack Tesco supermeat cat food the black plastic one with the green paw print on it is still scanning at £1.19 (bargain) will post barcode up later as its in the car
Grrrr, missed this one! Can I check whether this was a 'local' Express or if it was an Extra type store. Thanks.
Stocked up loads of the 14p sachets in my local express when I first took in the stray, but the amout she's getting through at the moment is crazy and this isn't any cheaper than buying the same food in tins.... says on the packs if they are pregnant they can eat up to 4 times as much!:eek:0 -
Well after their emails I had a call from Cust. Services this a.m.
Nice chap said they should have honoured the quanity when they substituted - I said they'd told me yesterday they didn't have to - but he said he'd remind the store of what they needed to do.
I had had £3.49 refunded for the missing box but he emailed a £3 voucher for my trouble -so some good news for me anyway.
As usual with Tesco, no consistency.
I was sent the 12 packs, not the 48
I ordered 8 packs, they sent 7 packs of the 12.
No adjustment in price, no apology, no credit note, no voucher.
It was all a price mistake on line, even though it is in the shops.... and stores are still receiving these 48 packs and selling them at £3.49.

Got 2 boxes of the Market Produce version in b@ng0r NI today. There was a gap on the shelf for the £3.49 Market version but just a few inches away above the Fisherman Choice (£10 SEL) were 2 Market Produce boxes. Checked the SEL and barcodes on the box and they matched so was hoping for a DTD but alas they scanned at £3.49.
I don't actually own a cat but I had to rehome my dog recently. The animal shelter he went to take in cats & dogs so even though I can't help the dogs, I'm sure they'll be pleased with 96 pouches of cat food.
That's my good deed for the day so just need to drop them off when I'm kiddo free at the weekend.0 -

Give her dried food instead, like Tesco own brand or Go-Cat. Much cheaper. Plenty of water with it, of course.Val.0
