Why would you stay on such a poor tarrif? On Three's ONE plan its unlimited data, something like 3000 minutes and 5000 texts for £25 a month SIM only on a rolling monthly contract.0

Thanks.
Thing is, I just want to pay less than 25£ per month but keep the iPhone - I don't really need 3000 minutes etc, never use that up0 -
Why negotiate with Orange? Just port your number to some other network:
giffgaff (o2)
chitter-chatter (t-mobile)
talkmobile (vodafone)
I don't know about free WiFi, but do you really need it?0 -
Thanks!
Just looked up talkmobile and found this - brilliant...
SIMple £8, 1 month- 200 minutes
- 500 texts
Has anyone had any experience of using them with an iPhone?0 -
I think talkmobile is worth a go. It is part of carphone warehouse but you pay more if you go into a shop.
Also look on Quidco for any promotions. At the moment they are giving £30 cashback for 30 day £12 or 6 month £8 sim only deals. Just sign up to Quidco and click through the Talkmobile link to get the the Talkmobile site. You can go through the process without signing up to see what you are getting. Cashaback may take a while to avoid people singning up, getting the cash and then clearing off but if you were going to use them anyway you haven't lost anything.
No problem with porting your old number across. When you contact Orange for a PAC number they may well make you an offer you can't refuse so be prepared to haggle if that happens.
Talkmobile use Vodaphone as their provider so make sure coverage is ok for your area. You will need to specify a microsim for your iphone. There is a link on the Talkmobile site for that which explains what to do.0 -
First thing to do is ask Orange for your PAC. Tell them you're going to Talk Mobile ... see what they offer you.0

Thanks all!
I'll call them tomorrow!
One more question: can you keep old mobile number when purchasing online? I want to do that to get cashback, just clicked through but cannot see an option to add that.
Anyone had any experience good/bad with talkmobile?0 -
You can port your number (use the PAC) after receiving and activating the new sim card.0
