I upgraded my phone with phones 4u a couple of months ago. Phones 4 u bought me out early and stayed with the same provider Vodafone but changed to a cheaper tariff.
I received a call from Vodafone yesterday offering me an upgrade. I think this is a mistake on their part. I assume that my old contract is coming to an end and their system has flagged me to call and offer an upgrade.
If I were to accept it would I be paying another contract even though it is the same phone number? I realise my contract may run from now rather then the contract I took out a few months ago with phones 4 u but as it wasnt long ago that doesn't bother me.

Would appreciate some advice or if this has happened to anyone else?

did you recieve cashback when taking out the contract in order to give to vodafone for the original number? If you haven't given the cash the vodafone then you are paying for 2 contracts

Yeah I did receive the money and put it straight into my account when the contract was cancelled then the new tariff was set up still with Vodafone and on the same number. I didn't think it was possible to have two contracts running on the same mobile number?

No, you cannot have two contracts on the same number.
