NCP NOTICE OF LEGAL PROCEEDINGS (Pink ICC Letter)

Hi All,
I've received today a letter from I.C.C. it's exactly the same as the pink letter listed in the examples sticky thread and is titled Notice of Legal Proceedings.
The language does worry me somewhat as it sates at the bottom "failure to action the above by [date] will result in immediate legal proceedings being issued against you"
Should I still be ignoring this letter...?
Thanks

Yes, just keep ignoring these clowns. They are empty and meaningless threats which they won't follow up.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

If the PPC thought they would have a case against you, they would have taken you to court by now. Carry on ignoring, you might get 1 final "one time offer, reduced to £XXX" letter, but carry on ignoring (unless in the unlikely event you receiving real court papers)0

Does it say "will" or may?0

OH God no...don't ignore it.
This letter is the Pink Letter Of Death.
It's different to all the other spam that these ppcs send out in that it's..............pink.
You must pay up or else they will do sweet !!!! all.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Does it say "will" or may?
It says "will"
Its exactly the same as the letter in the examples sticky thread under NCP new
I'm in two minds at the moment.
And I guess another question, because ultimately what i'm concerned about with all of this is the possibility (however slim or not) that i'd end up with a CCJ. So lets say for arguments sake they did proceed to take me to court, if then I then chose to pay up after being issued court papers within the 28 days, would I then have any record of this on my credit file?
Thanks0 -
You don't have to be in "two minds". Just ignore them. NCP have never taken anyone to court. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You can't be, if you've seen the letter-chains in the top thread and the Watchdog clip in the other sticky thread by Crabman?
How can anyone be scared by some letters from a company, NCP, who have never taken anyone to Court in their existence - it's NOT part of a fake parking ticket scammer's typical modus operandi. THERE WILL BE NO SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE.
It's just some letters, I have had such letters myself. Please get over it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've had two now (the second was genuinely picked up by someone else driving my car). The first time, I knew they were trying it on, and I knew that I should ignore them, but there was always the thing at the back of my mind saying "The costs in the letters are going up all the time... what if they actually did take me to court and won". But I'm glad I stuck out and ignored them. The second time, I knew exactly how to deal with it, and it didn't bother me at all.
Hang on in there. Keep ignoring them.0 -

Perhaps you could explain why all the advice on all the threads wouldn't apply in your case?
If you didn't want to hear that you don't have to pay their fake claim, then why did you post?
There is enough reassurance to overflow the reassurance cup.
Stop !!!!!footing about, ignore the claims and tell us in six months times that it's all come to an end.:cool:0 -
Ok well thanks guys, some pretty hard talking there if i'm honest but I get the message.
The reason I asked was because of the language and the format of the letter that I personally had not seen before. The language I was used to seeing was "may", what worried me a bit was the use of the language in this letter being "will".
But, i'll sit it out given the advice here, so as always, thank you.0
