purchasing contracts thru 3rd parties - t-mobile
I purchased my galaxy s2 contract 2-3 weeks ago though buymobilephones.net and added the unlimited internet bolt on for £5 thinking that it would be the same service that T-mobile offer on contracts purchased direct thru them - however I noticed that even though my phone was connected to the HSDPA network i was receiving very slow speeds - so today i decided to do a speed test and found that even though my phone was connected to the H network the speeds were even less than I would expect on 3g!
Anyway i did a bit of research and apparently T-mobile dont allow 3rd parties to sell phones with access to HSDPA speeds on their internet packages! I was quite shocked by this to say the least as nowhere did it mention this on buymobilephones.net at all - I also read that if someone who had purchased a contract thru a 3rd party and wanted to get truly unlimited access they would need to purchase another bolt on from t-mobile for an extra £5 p/month
so i decided rather than go to buymobilephones to complain i would call t-mobile and purchase the extra bolt on and call it a lesson learnt not to go thru a 3rd party ever again - sometimes if something appears to good to be true it often is!
So I called t-mobile and spoke to one of their staff and explained my story to them - now i've been thru vodaphone, orange and o2 and am quite used to receiving really bad customer service from mobile phone companies so i was expecting to come away from the call with an extra £5 p/mth on my bill and in effect be paying twice for my internet package, however the guy i spoke to said that instead of charging me for it he would upgrade the contract for free and add unlimited texts to it as well
Happy days - in case any of you have done the same and bought thru a 3d party double check your connection speeds, if its really slow then I'd advise you to do as i did and give t-mobile a call straight away!
Now im connected and getting around 2Mbps download speeds and thats during peak hours - they said that off peak it should be a fair bit faster! For once i am actually happy to come off the phone to a mobile phone companies customer service line!:T

This might explain why my mobile get zilch or zero speed in the evenings .
Can't even load a single page most of the time.
I did complain to t-mobile, bloke was telling me to take out battery when phone was on and put it back and said that will fix all my problems - it didn't, so off to another network at end of contract in October.
Plus the fact t-mobile charge for voicemail .0
