Boiler Cover/Service - Should I?

I moved into my first flat in July, I've everything set up but realised I forgot about boiler cover.
I dont now exactly how old the boiler is in this place but it is new, 1 year old max, it is a Vokera combi-boiler and works fine. Now I must admit to knowing nothing about these things.
Do I need cover, this site indicates that the typical boiler repair is £185, is that right? In that case the cheapest uswitch cover at £90 per year with £50 excess surely makes no sense (that polcy gives you £200 towards a new boiler if it needs replaced). So it seems a bit pointless paying for this service for a functioning new boiler right?
Also services, who does them, how much do they cost and how often should I have them done? And again do I need them done if the boiler is working fine.
Sorry for the daft questions.
