Ebay Item Not as Described - Paypal Refund?

    Sorry, of course you're disappointed that the parts are wrong.
    'Perhaps I should have done your homework' is puzzling as most buyers would research whether they're buying the correct computer part, surely?
    Oh well, you're entitled to your view of course.

    that is the whole point. I did do my research and the components were compatible with my system. I also asked for confirmation with the seller that if this item was compatible before I made the purchase.
    Being generic components there is no identification on the components, so anything can be sent out, which is what happened to me.

    Update: The seller confirmed via ebay messages that he has received the return, but still refuses to make a refund.

    copy and paste the message into your dispute to say you recieved the message. Paypal and Ebay are the same company do not be fooled.

    This is the route I took several days ago. Paypal awarded the refund after checking the messages.

    They are not the same company. They are owned by the same person - that does not mean they are intertwined.

    They communicate on matters of disputes but they are separate entities.
