Battery for Nokia 6230

Hi All,

Just bought a second hand 6230 and the battery does not seem to be holding charge for very long. Does anyone know if it is poss to put anything other than the standard BL-5C in so as to get longer between charges. There is a BL-6C being touted on ebay, but then ebay is hardly a reliable source of information!

Both are only going to cost a fiver so price is not an issue

have you got bluetooth on all the time? as this will use battery very quick

The fact that you bought a 2nd hand one explains it all, depending on usage when a battery gets to being about 12 months old it becomes useless at lasting a decent amount of time. Maybe try letting it die completely for a few times and giving a full charge each time, may improve things slightly.

Aha! Bluetooth. That's what I get for letting my son play with it.

Bluetooth is now off and it is much happier.

In case you are interested I have a new 6230 but bought on E bay a desk charger and new spare battery for about £7.00 including delivery came from Hong kong in about a week. No problems so far...
