They did do very well, but I find the program a bit infuriating. Why is there such a rush to pay off a mortgage in 2 years, it's a bit unrealistic and unnecssary. Why was their a need to eat flowers from trees? Why couldn't they have spread it over 3 or 5 years and built up a very successful business that could have made them very wealthy, rather than selling themselves short.
And in reality they didn't do it as they now have a large tax bill to pay which he just matter of factly threw in at the end, how do they intend to pay that?!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. But he said that they had to not forget to deal with the tax, which would suggest that the £105k was gross and so they have a huge tax bill to deal with and their mortgage hasn't actually been cleared.0

at least it may give inspiration to others to untap earning potential...and the principle could be applied to 3 or 5 years or any other period you think of...even without paying the tax ...if they carried on they would make the money off the next round of stoves..they did really well...as for the elderflowers my guess would be that they eat that sort of thing normally along with the nettles...I would love their laidback style...0

Yes I spotted that too. The ending was a bit fudged, but they are definitely on track to do it within 3 years so perhaps it wouldn't have been fair to call them failures for not managing it in 2.DFW Nerd 0350
