HTC Desire internet connection

Apologies in advance if there is a entire discussion on this already posted! I have looked before posting.

A while ago, several months I would say, I found a post on here that guided me thorugh changing some settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery life. I can't find the original post anymore. This did work for me, and my battery life increased quite a lot as my phone didn't constantly use 3GS.

Now, however, my phone struggles to connect to the internet. When I can see that I have 3GS, it tells me it cannot connect to internet. it also struggles to send texts even when I have a full signal. I want to put it back to it's orignal settings, regardless of battery use.

I actually really hate this phone as the battery doesn't even last 2 days without needing charngin, even if it's jsut on standby. Roll-on upgrade!

you're not on o2 are you? A recent software update on my handset has completely broken the network switching from 2-3G - this in turn kills my internet connection too.

On this point best to charge most days with smartphones, everyone I've had has liked the juice.

Juice defender app is good at stopping battery use a bit anyway.
