Keeping mobile number

I am moving from Asda payg to icardmobile payg.

Emails back and forth yesterday with customer services.
Gave them my PAC from Asda also the number I want to keep.
Porting would be done today.

Question is, how will I know when porting has completed.
I still have Asda sim in my phone with no credit left.
Just wondering when I should insert icardmobile sim.

Appreciate any help

I think your old sim will stop working (connecting to the network, receiving calls) as soon as the number is ported.
  • You should get a text on your new sim from your new provider when it's all set up... I think!
Maybe just keep trying the other sim till it works?

(Just make sure you have a list of all your contacts in case when you change Sim they might disappear!!!)

  • Soon as the signal drops to zero on the Asda phone.
