Shouldnt you be helping the unemployed back to work instead of spending all day on the internet, you dont want to end up on a disciplinary! LOL0

LOL, I am at a desk most of the day devising programmes and dealing with delivery & employer partners. Thanks for the concern though.0

Not to your full capacity obviously or elce you wouldnt be on this forum all the time.Where I worked they had spyware on the computers to make sure people were not taking the hit and miss on the internet all day.
Im concerned that the good honest taxpayers of this country are not getting an efficent and effective and value for money service from you.0 -

Search NOMIS for more information & about your own region.
And how many of those vacancies were full time
How many of them were 8 hours or 12 hrs or 16 hrs a week
If a claimant doesnt have children they need to be in a job that is at least 30 hours a week to claim working tax credits. So how are you addressing those types of barriers.
For instance how can you expect a single person or a couple WITHOUT kids to live on a part time wage from say a 20 hour a week job on minimum wage hmmm? Especially when they cant claim tax credits because the job isnt enough hours and they dont have living proof that they have had sex without contraception!0 -

Whoah there, just putting out some information, not commenting on people ability to work. I dont expect people to be able to do the impossible.0 -
saintjammyswine wrote: »Oh no, by far, not everyone has particular barriers beyond there not being enough, or the right jobs. The work I do is related to the people who do have barriers though such as disengagement from the workplace, lack of skills, alcohol & drug dependencies, confidence & communication issues. JCP rate claimants Red, Amber & Green (RAG) whereby Green are ready for work and if the job was there, could walk into it tomorrow, Amber is maybe ready for work but might need a small amount of skills work/trainin e.g. wants to work in hospitality but Food Safety certificate has run out, then Red where people are simply not really ready to work for various reasons including those I mentioned above.
So who do the work programme providers try and bid for or are they given a mix of each to deal with as standard?0 -
They are simply referred to a provider, it is allocated randomly so that the numbers are evenly split in each area. It may be that some larger areas have more than two providers but the feeling is that after a certain period, the best performing provider will get more or even all of the referrals for that area although this is not confirmed, just speculation.0

How many people have you got into proper jobs then through this?
I cannot honestly believe that anyone could believe at all in this.Look at the news the other night it said unemployment was 9.1%. There was no mention about the work programme helping this poor unfortunate group of people back into the workplace. I really wonder why?0 -
in this town there were 2 contractors for fnd and now only 1 for wp. they make out like there is 2 but the other is in another town which no doubt already had at least 1 contractor before as it is a bigger town.saintjammyswine wrote: »Sorry to hear that, have you brought up these problems with JCP? In each area, there are 2 main contractor providers so it may be possible to get referred to the other one if its that bad with this one.0
