Excruciatingly over exaggerated and hammed up article

Certain companies have cleaned up their door to door sales acts.. Yes sure there are sales people that do stretch things a little, but not as much as this article suggests thats for sure!

The main point that people have to do is be prepared. If you are willing to listen to door to door salesmen, make sure you have all the correct and relevant information to hand so that you can combat whatever is thrown at you, question everything and to make sure the wool is not being pulled over your eyes

ALSO, if you aren't prepared to entertain the door knockers, get yourself online and on a comparison website .. they are your best bets. get your usage per year in KW/H, find out what tariff/product you are on and then search away

I've just changed my parents recently! they had been on a bog standard tariff with 2 different suppliers for years, not knowing that if they changed supplier and products, they'd be saving over £200!!!

    NEVER be sold.
ALWAYS decide what you want to buy and then go and get at least three sources of advice.

BBC 1 is currently doing a TV series called "Dirty tricks of the tradesman". However clever you think you are, these con men do the job for a living.
