Excel parking

Hi there
A few months ago I got a parking "fine" from excel parking. I ignored this as it was completely unjustified and the person who represented excel at the car park was quite threatening towards me which made me even more adamant that I would not be bullied by theses people. I then received 2 or 3 letters from them saying the "fine" was increasing and also threatening court action, CCJ,s and the letter that everyone seems to receive from the solicitors Graham White. I have been carefully filing them in a drawer in my kitchen and ignoring them until yesterday when I received on my home answer machine a voicemail from someone at Graham White solicitors asking me to return a call to them regarding this. I have not heard of anyone receiving phone calls before, just mail. My Dad is adamant that I keep ignoring them but I am getting worried as I'm 6 months pregnant and really don't need any extra worry. I feel totally harassed. Can I bar there phone number from my landline, I'm ex directory but that hasn't stopped them.

There are many instances on here and on other forums detailing these phone calls. So don't worry you are not alone. Just keep ignoring these idiots. I doubt if it's actual "Graham White" who are calling. It's just some somebody from Roxbourgh.
If you do answer a call from them, tell them the "debt" is denied, it should be passed back to Excel and any more calls will be regarded as harassment and reported to the appropriate authorities. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
What ever happens, just ignore them! Don't return their phone call and if you answer the phone and it's them, just put the phone down. Don't acknowledge them in any way whatsoever, because they don't give a crap about you or the fact they are harassing a lady who is 6 months pregnant to pay an unfair non-legally enforceable invoice. If you engage them, they will think you are weak and then the harassment will not stop for much longer.
Genuinely, they want you to give in and pay because they are scamming you and doing quite nicely out of it thank you. Unfortunately, as always happen in any profession, even the legal one, cowboys with no morals will operate for a fast buck!
Just forget about it (I know it is not easy) and get on with your life and enjoy being pregnant and look forward to the big day when, as as father myself, I can tell you that you will suddenly realise that they biggest thing in your life is in your arms and everything else, is just a bit less unimportant.
PS. Try to avoid using word the 'fine' (even in 'inverted commas') because it is not a fine, it is just an invoice and one you don't have to pay.
If you feel frustrated at any time, just come on here and read the pages and pages of people who just ignored and not one of them as ever been served court papers!0 -
Vulgar and rude abuse works first time, it is exactly what someone trying to steal money from you deserves.
Yes it is their fault for working for a company that rob, cheats, lies and thieves from innocent members of the public and if they dont like it they can always call someone else.
Which is usually what happens.
It is your phone and they have called you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Answer the phone, rcooky24, and say the above. Then phone down.
End of harassment calls (or should be).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I understand that you should follow the advice of Coupon-mad and answer the phone and tell them exactly what she advises. I also understand that you should also tell them you are recording the call (or actually do record the call) and they will not call you again!0 -
You have to admire them, even with the threat of their CCL being revoked they still act like morons!0

I have today received my third letter from these BULLIES from Excel parking who are now threatening me with Bailiffs and possible court action. I am now in the process of making an appointment with my MP. I nearly gave in and paid until I read this Blog and now am more determined not to pay this man called Simon Renshaw-Smith who owns the company. I have read the Mail online article dated 22nd March 2008 whereby he had taken a woman to court and the judge quashed the case stating that it set out to 'frighten & intimidate' apparently this so called fine is 'unenforceable'.
So guys do i continue to ignore them and state the 'debt is denied' ?
I do need some reassurance as I feel uneasy about bailiffs !!!!

Carry on ignoring them, see your MP and complain about the harassment. Bailiffs can not be sent by anyone except a court! Its just part of the intimidation.
Make sure you show the MP the threatening letters.0
