why could he not still wear it? Surely it is not visible under a jumper.. and who cares if it is?

Mine end up with allsorts on theirs.. why bin it and replace it for the new one to end up the same? seems stupid to me.

Day 1 .. DD3 came home with red paint on new yellow top... washed and she will wear it anyway.. and got a telling off for not wearing an apron!
Day 2 .. DD5 came home with something... I dont even know what it is.. on her new white top.. washed anyway..
Day 3 .. meatballs for dinner

Headlice.. nitty gritty comb, vosene 3-in1 with tea tree!!!.. boots spray leave in conditioner .. NOTHING on earth prevented them in here.. this combo does! .. I have 6 girls .. 5 with waist length hair!!!

  • Oh dear DS1 came home with mud and grass stains from the collar of his new white shirt all the way down to the hem. Trousers covered in mud too. Boys will be boys eh?

I would try and bleach it - mind you I had a black mark on a top recently and even bleach didnt shift it, but it did fade it out quite a bit. I have used hairspray on trainers but not clothes. Definitely worth a try.

I think I would be a bit miffed if my reception age son was using a pen that didnt wash off, surely thats a nightmare for the school, I can just imagine it all over tables and chairs etc!

Just throw away and use a new one! You will get through loads during Reception Year. Never buy the school logo ones!

Kids in Reception should be allowed to get mucky whilst playing/learning without fear of getting uniform dirty!
And if uniform has stains from the joy of playing / learning, why not leave the stains there? They're not 'dirty' stains if they've been washed!

exactly: by all means buy a multipack and keep one of them back for the day they have their photos taken, but after that, why worry? School uniform has the great virtue that it means their 'home' clothes don't get wrecked so much!
