Well day 4 reception class and my DS has already twice come home with what I think is marker pen on his white polo shirts
Has anyone got any tips on how to get it out- have soaked it all night in vanish with no luck.
I presume its marker pen as vanish isn't removing it - it is dense black ( could i guess be a thick black felt tip ??)
Thank you

I've always had luck with a product called "De-Solve-it" in these situations, I've managed to get lily pollen out of clothes with it so it may be worth a shot on marker pens. Lasts ages as well.
I've only ever found it online from here: http://www.desolvit.co.uk/
Good luck0 -
It is probably white board pen.
It is hard to get out which is why I bought lots of cheap packs of polo shirts from George.
Just throw away and use a new one! You will get through loads during Reception Year. Never buy the school logo ones!
Kids in Reception should be allowed to get mucky whilst playing/learning without fear of getting uniform dirty!0 -

Hadn't thought of whiteboard pens
It is only cheap and I have binned it now
I don't mind him getting dirty ... just would like to be able to wash the dirt out0 -
Colour in the rest of the polo shirt with the black marker pen and your stain will magically disappear!
On stains, I use a small scrubbing nail brush and ordinary washing up liquid. It shifts most stuff with a bit of elbow grease, but not sure about marker pen.0 -
if it was just a plain white polo shirt neat bleach on it then wash it. i do that with coloured stuff too as long as you put it straight in the wash as soon as you put the bleach on it so it doesnt have time to take out the colour too.0

i find hairspray gets rid of marker pen...mine get it all over their jumpers as well as their polo shirts
i put a clean teatowel in th middle of the item under the stain, liberally spray with cheap hairspray then dab dab dab away then rinse in cold water and wash as normal.
cheap hairspray is also very good for them to stop getting biddys too, just spray on their hairs aafter they have brushed and put it up, even the boy gets a squirt as he leaves the door as he has shoulder length very thick hairIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?
